What we collect

• Your mobile phone number.
• The counties you add (and the ZIP code, city or address you typed, if you used one to find your county).
• Your alert preferences, quiet hours and time zone.
• Records of the texts we send you and texts you send us, and when you opted in or out (and the IP address used for a web sign-up), so we can show we have your consent.

How we use it

Only to run the alert service: to match alerts to your locations, send you texts, answer your text commands and let you manage your account.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. We use service providers only to operate the service: Cloudflare (hosting and database), our SMS carrier (to deliver texts), and public lookup services (US Census Bureau, FCC and the National Weather Service) that receive the location you enter — never your phone number — to find its county and forecast zone.

Retention & deletion

Message logs are kept for up to 90 days. If you delete your account we remove your locations, preferences and history, keeping only your number marked as opted out so we never text it again.
